Prepare for the unknown and unknowable as age is no barrier and all movements could be seen here, but all will be scaleable and inclusive to all levels of ability.
BEGINNER / INTERMEDIATE
Athletes in this category would be here as they may have been CrossFitting for less than 1 year and still mastering movements such as Double Unders, Pull Ups, T2B and still working on their strength.
All standard CrossFit Movements are possible to appear here minus
the complex Gymnastic movements.
Scaling will be an option for all movements.
RX
Movements in the RX category may include but not limited to the following.
Athletes are encourage to enter this category if they are able to do the below movements. Even if you can only do 1 muscle up at a time we would still prefer to see you step out of your comfort zone and challenge yourself in the RX division.
HSPU
Pull Up
T2B
Double Unders
C2B Pull Up
Bar Muscle Up
Clean & Jerk 70/45
Snatch 60/40
Pistol Squat
Box Jump
Wall Ball
Scaling is allowed in the RX category however will exclude you from a podium finish.
We encourage you to challenge yourself and see where you sit in the RX category and like the CrossFit Open be able to walk away with new goals and movements to work on.
*Please choose your category wisely. If you can do your BMU and T2B etc in singles but you are a beast with barbel then you belong in the RX category!
*If your partner is new to CrossFit and your there as a mate to help them enjoy their first comp then Beginner/Intermediate is your jam.
*We have met many of you and watched a lot of you compete over the years. We can also see your open scores.....so please note we reserve the right to move you to the RX category if we feel it's time you stepped out of your comfort zone and to ensure the competition is a fair one for all :)
