The workouts for the 2016 Reebok CrossFit Games Open will be announced live from affiliates across the United States.
Moments after each workout is released, two or more CrossFit Games competitors will go head-to-head to set the scores to beat.
This year, 16.2 will be announced from a garage gym on Friday 4th March at 12pm. A small crew will fill the garage, including Director of the Games Dave Castro and the third- and fourth-ranked men from the 2015 Games, Björgvin Karl Guðmundsson and Dan Bailey.
Come and watch the 16.2 Live Announcement on the big screen at CrossFit Anarchy from 11:45am THIS Friday 4th March!!
Bring your lunch, find out the WOD, then watch two Games Athletes battle it out...
The CrossFit revolution began in garages and globo-gyms, with followers learning the movements by reading the text descriptions or watching the videos on the Exercises & Demos page, constructing their own equipment (Read “The Garage Gym” by Greg Glassman), and finding a community and accountability in the CrossFit.com comments thread.
Fifteen years later, a free Workout of the Day continues to blip onto CrossFit.com at 12p.m. each day so that anyone, anywhere can get fit.
Watch the video to see Björgvin and Dan in action at last years CrossFit Games.
